Our Farmers

While searching for the right matcha and cacao, we didn’t just wish to find a high-quality product — we also wanted to find amazing farmers who know what they’re doing, have a deep connection to their craft, and share our vision.

We knew that searching for specific farmers on the other side of the world would be a challenge, but it was the best decision we could have made. Because here at Seya, we believe that everything comes in a “complete package”—the love and care you pour into the seed and throughout the entire process is the love and care you receive in the finished product, multiplied. That’s why we see our dear farmers not only as business partners, but also as friends, they truly are Godsent.

We deeply appreciate their efforts, because we realize that they are part of Seya, just like you, our customers. And without all of you, this wouldn’t be possible.

So thank you for being a part of all this—we are truly blessed xx

Matcha

The matcha, which comes from tea plantations in Maizuru and Uji, is grown by our dear farmer Kento and his lovely wife.

We visited them and their tea farms for the first time in 2025, and we knew immediately that they were exactly the kind of people who possess the knowledge and deep understanding of what they do.

They have been in the tea industry for over 11 years, and one of the things that truly amazes us is that they are constantly learning and striving to find better and more sustainable solutions. Even though we don't share the same language or culture, we are amazed every day of how lovely and friendly people they are and how they handle their business with care, knowledge and ease.

Cacao

Our cacao comes from the most beautiful place in Mexico.

The family farm, run by a daughter and father, where Seya cacao grows, is a source of peace and beauty.

In 2025, we visited our farmer Lilly, her family, and their farm, and it was one of the most beautiful moments of our lives. Lilly personally showed us the entire process, from cultivation and harvesting to processing the cacao, and we were lucky enough to see the passion she has for her work and how deeply she cares for nature and the cacao itself—a passion we share as well.
